Isabelle Gauthier obtained her B. Pharm (1987) and M.Sc. (1992) degrees from Laval University, Quebec. She then completed a Doctorate of Pharmacy (1996) followed by a Specialty Residency Program in Pharmacotherapy of Blood and Cancer Disorders (1997) at Union University, Albany NY. This was later followed by a Fellowship in Investigational New Drug Development (2004-2006) at the Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG). She practiced for over 10 years as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Hemato/Oncology at Notre-Dame Hospital in Montreal followed by the Ottawa Hospital with respective academic appointments as an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Montreal and the Faculty of Medicine at University of Ottawa. She held positions of Associate Head of Clinical Research at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre (2006-2008) followed by Scientific Manager of the Ontario Regional BioTherapeutic (ORBiT) Program at the Ontario Institute of Cancer Research while also acting as Clinical Manager of the Oncolytic Virus Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (2008-2010). She spent 5 years as a Medical Advisor and Research Specialist at Pfizer Oncology prior to joining CCTG as a Senior Scientist in October 2015. Her current main role at CCTG is to coordinate the Immuno-Oncology Trials Program and her main interests are pharmacology, therapeutic monitoring, pharmacovigilance and optimal drug delivery of anticancer agents.
