Fellowships for Oncologists – Fellowships in Health Services Research and Cancer Epidemiology for Oncologists
Cancer Care and Epidemiology in the Sinclair Cancer Research Institute (SCRI) invites applications for Fellowships in Health Services Research in Cancer Epidemiology from individuals who have completed their clinical training in a cancer-related specialty, and wish to develop research skills and experience in health services research, or cancer epidemiology.
Cancer Care and Epidemiology in the SCRI is a group of Principal Investigators with expertise in cancer epidemiology, health economics, outcome research, and clinical decision-making, as well as radiation, medical, and surgical oncology. Fellows will be expected to undertake a substantive research project under the joint supervision of a career scientist and a clinician-scientist.
Fellows may be accepted for one or two years.
Two-year Fellows will have the opportunity to register for the Degree of Master of Public Administration in the School of Policy Studies, or in the MSc Program in Epidemiology at Queen’s.
The Queen’s Master of Public Health program educates, equips and inspires students to take Evidence-Informed Action for Public Health.
The Master of Science in Healthcare Quality (MScHQ) degree will prepare professionals for practice, research and education in the developing area of health quality, risk and safety.
While the emphasis of the program is on acquisition of research skills, Fellows may have the opportunity for a limited amount of clinical work to enable them to maintain their clinical expertise during the Research Fellowship.
